Eat this: Flowersprouts at The Porch, a laid-back spot in Winter Park.
"Flowersprouts" are a tumble of brussels sprouts and cauliflower. The brussels sprouts seem fried; I could easily be wrong. They also fell apart. We had mostly leaves. Still, the flavor was fresh. The menu says the duo are (is?) "dusted with seasoned flour" then tossed with pancetta vinaigrette. Our server added a crock of buffalo sauce. It was good, but unnecessary. In fact the potent, spicy sauce overpowered the vegetables. I kept dipping anyway. I happen to like buffalo sauce a whole lot. The appetizer, portioned for sharing, is $7.99 at the indoor-outdoor hangout on Orange Avenue.
