Orlando – The Winter Park gourmet grocer and quick-service restaurant Swine & Sons is moving up and out. Chefs and spouses Alexia and Rhys Gawlak have run the farm-to-table establishment since it opened in 2015, always working in conjunction with its owners, James and Julie Petrakis of the neighboring sister restaurant The Ravenous Pig. Now the Gawlaks have taken the reins, and will relocate the enterprise into the nearby Local Butcher & Market on Orange Avenue. I’ve long been a fan of Swine & Son’s scratch-made wholesome food, as you can see from my initial blog post and a Winter Park Magazine review. I wish the Gawlaks, the Petrakises and the Local Butcher folks much luck with the evolutions to their businesses. The soft opening is March 2, 2019.
